How to Build Travel Safety Into Your Vacation
Safety is a funny thing.
It can’t be guaranteed anywhere, but everyone wants it. No place is entirely safe. That is, bad things can happen anywhere… your home, your car, your workplace, or a favorite restaurant. Statistically, our familiar routine may prove to be some of the most dangerous things we’ll ever do (hello driving distracted on the highway!).
But when we travel, we often default to feeling unsafe. We become very sensitive to not knowing our surroundings. The unfamiliar always feels and sounds more dangerous than our everyday routine, even if the statistics say otherwise.
While safety can’t be guaranteed, you CAN do things to manage risks while you travel. This week’s video explains some of our best tips and tricks for building safety into your trip.
We’ll be covering…
-
- Reliable transportation
- Stay in a Hotel
- Be Aware of Transportation Times
- Pick a Good Location for your Hotel
- Look at a Map Before you Go
- Check your Hotel locks
- Get Trip Insurance
