“Mama, don’t let this happen to other kids...you have to warn them!”
Warning: This will ruin your vacation fast.
I unknowingly picked up a travel sized, name-brand sunscreen at Target before our vacation, thinking it would be a great light-weight addition to my beach bag instead of my normal zinc-based sunscreen. I had no idea that there have been tons of complaints of allergic reactions and burns.
My daughter was one of at least 4 kids from 3 families with severe reactions at our resort that I knew of. All the kids happened to use the same brand of sunscreen. My son and I were in the sun less and our reactions were less severe but still very uncomfortable.
Please learn from our family’s pain and take care to avoid sunscreen that causes chemical allergic reactions in kids and adults. Check with your doctor on their advice and do your research!

My daughter specifically requested we do this video and show people what to avoid. It’s been a huge comfort to her to think that she could do something to have other kids avoid getting hurt.
Sorry the internet was cutting in and out on the video. If you have questions, leave them in the comments.

Annnnd Disney just broke the internet.
The MUCH awaited Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios will be opening August 29th.
What does this mean for your trip?
If you want to see it and haven't scheduled your trip, now is the time. Hotels will go fast. Fastpasses for those Star Wars ride will be nearly impossible to get without the fastpass advantage of being at an onsite Disney hotel.
Already have your trip scheduled?
Hollywood Studios will be crazy (and exciting) if you are traveling early Fall.
What about the rest of the parks?
The rest of the parks are typically fairly normal during a new release like this. It doesn't mean you will see wall to wall crowds everywhere. The crowds are usually on the park that is opening.
We just emailed all our clients who were expecting a later start date to help them adjust their plans. Need an expert to work on your trip to handle the unexpected? Contact us today about your Disney World trip.
